 The Purpose of Fasting


    There are various reasons for fasting, most people associate fasting with some form of religious practices. Fasting is commonly practiced across different parts of the world, each culture utilizes it in various ways. As humans, we constantly need to cleanse and detox our bodies, brains and spirit - fasting is an effective way to do various things that positively affect the body. remove toxins, improve illnesses, cut unwanted weight and restart the gut cycle. 

    The overall purpose of fasting is gaining righteousness, clarity and insight through the disciplining process.  Fasting affects every muscle and organ system in our bodies, it allows our brain, gut and spirit to connect. Although, fasting is beneficial for most people, others aren't directed to fast as often as recommended. Depending on one's current health state, fasting can weaken the immune system if not monitored effectively. It's important to monitor nutrient, mineral and vitamin intake when partaking in fasting sessions or diet plans.

Usually, most religious cultures and sacred practices involve some form of fasting into their ritual and daily routines. No matter which type of fasting you do, the benefits and medical effects are all the same; depending on your fitness regimens and eating habits certain fasting measurements will be more effective than others.
