Consistency vs Sustainability
LEARN WHAT WORKS FOR YOU
We have been taught that routines are critical parts of practical living, however, we have yet to be taught the differences & advantages of consistency versus sustainability. Consistency is "a degree of firmness, intensity, or viscosity." Whereas, sustainability is defined as "the ability to manage or maintained at a certain level." This shows how routines can be formed or built from various platforms & not just derive from consistency. Sustainability is based on how one should interact or operate within an environment or their livelihood, which can be represented in various ways.
This concept is more focused on the entire goal at hand versus the mini details that are associated with obtaining the goal, this can help people with ADHD, ADD, OCD, or mental disorders that demand perfectionism or minimal mistakes. If you are sustainable, that simply means you are able to withstand or manage great things over a long time without having to disassociate or lose track.
Sustainability is alike personal support within your own livelihood which impacts every part of your life, including personal & professional careers. On the other hand, consistency focuses more on repetition and imitation, which directly affects the memory & thinking process. Being consistent means no matter the environment, issue or situation, you are able to remain intact the same exact way every single time.
In order to acquire great discipline, one must go through consistent phases & changes in life in order to elevate or improve their thinking process, reactionary times & overall personal development. To acquire success, one must obtain consistency and manage sustainability because one helps you remain focused, while the other maintains your ability to remain focused. Both are vital parts of having a healthy, successful life but most importantly we must understand that we can't have one without the other.
"
Not until we are lost is when we decide to find & understand ourselves.."
- Henry David Thoreau
