WHY IS CHANGE SO HARD?
Optimal development is the ultimate goal that can be utilized in different ways, depending on ethnic backgrounds, cultural or spiritual beliefs - the act of change or modification can be perceived in diverse ways. There are numerous benefits that pertain to change or growth, most people tend to only grow or modify behaviors in a short-term manner which shows how undisciplined and inconsistent people can be. This is vaguely why seasonal depression is growing in teens, adults & marriages. Why wait for a new month or year to change unwanted behaviors or bad habits?
Why not act now? Instead of saying 'I am trying' prove to yourself and realize that 'You are doing' - which is a vital part of utilizing one's faith, strength and potential. Different benefits associated with growth is modifying and expanding personal values, beliefs, morals and perspectives. Choosing to change your lifestyle choices, habits and regimens allows you to take back control of your health and wellness, this choice of action improves one's overall quality of life.
If you don't create change in your livelihood, change will force itself onto you in ways that you may or may not be equipped to handle. We are often resistance to change or any form of the unknowing which is common for most people who tend to live in fear versus, walking in faith. When you initiate change on your own, you are more likely to adapt to it versus neglecting it due to being unaware or afraid of potential consequences. Change affirms growth, change provides people with a sense of proactiveness, survival, adaptation, determination and opportunity.
By establishing and creating beneficial, proactive routines in your daily life this promotes overall development and wellness which directly affects one's mental, physical and emotional health. Overall, welcoming change into your life can be unsettling, challenging and difficult, however we are designed to adapt to new environments, lifestyles and cultures as we age and experience life. It allows our levels of self-respect, confidence, assurance and authenticity to develop and grow as needed.
This aids in positively affecting our vision, purpose and life ambitions which provides momentum, drive and success. Educate yourself, instead of having 'New Years Resolutions' develop better daily and weekly routines for the upcoming year, evaluate and modify your eating habits or diet choices. Welcome change because it can easily be forced into your life without hesitation or preparation.
