BECOMING A MINIMALIST

What is a minimalist? What do they do? Is it expensive to become one, do you have to go through specialized training to get accustomed to the lifestyle methods? Do you know the purpose of minimalist living? The minimalist lifestyle has been proven to be very effective and beneficial for a person's overall wellness which includes their physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health.

What is minimalist living? The minimalist lifestyle is an essential way of living which is considered to be one of the oldest forms of social living in the world - this lifestyle removes, reduces and eliminates stress, tension and clutter in one's life. The minimalist lifestyle includes looking at the way you spend your time, money and energy; this lifestyle also gives you a refreshing insight on the way you think, behave and react. Researchers and scientists state how minimalists may experience less fear, anxiety and tension which is common for most adults and young children, this lifestyle also boosts self-expression and confidence.

This lifestyle is considered to be 'burden-free' from materialism, modernism and imagery which are common lifestyles people choose to conform too - becoming a minimalist is choosing to take back control of your life, future, career and spirit. This form of living is full of choices which gives people more options without restrictions and the use of conventional methods. There are various benefits that come along with this lifestyle change such as less stress, more money, limited attachments, more sacred connections, better sleeping patterns, improved overall wellness, elevated moods and increased happiness.

Some people may assume that developing new habits and lifestyle choices is too hard and time-consuming, however it is difficult to break certain habits that have formed from childhood. The minimalist lifestyle teaches people how to embrace hardships, dysfunction and struggles without becoming fearful of the process or outcome. It teaches you commitment, discipline, organization and self-realization; these are all vital factors in becoming successful and healthy.

Want to become a minimalist? Need to know how to start the process or begin the changes?

1. DECLUTTER, CLEAN, DETOX - these are crucial steps in becoming a minimalist, it's important to clean often and declutter periodically; this removes trapped negative energies and spirits that can be found inside our homes and surrounding environments. This creates a free-flowing, open space that allows the environment to thrive instead of harm. Got old clothes, shoes and bags from years ago? Throw them away! Still holding onto loads of documents, paper filled filing cabinets and old love letters? Throw them away!

2. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY - minimalist lifestyles don't support materialistic views and approaches, this lifestyle enhances one's perspective about economics, monetary values and deficits, don't waste money to make it look like you have money. Be more cautious with who and what gets your money, good quality never comes cheap.

3. ALIGN WITH NATURE - the minimalist lifestyle utilizes nature as a form of guidance, nurturing and self-discipline, it's common for most minimalists to become gardeners, farmers, animal lovers or tree-huggers, this particular lifestyle embraces nature as a teacher, leader and coach. Embracing nature and the outdoors can increase a person's cognitive, emotional and mental health patterns - it allows the body, mind and soul to reconnect back to its' natural home, the earth.

Be mindful, become more aware of your surroundings, different energies and perspectives, decrease your debts, maximize your income and earning potential, embrace new things, people & experiences, become intentional with your time, energy and effort.
