Wellness Matters

 WELLNESS THE VITAL FACTOR

Optimal health and wellness is typically associated with our state of health whether mental or physical; it is defined as an "active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more healthy and successful existence." Wellness is consciously crafted, because it is an continuing process that extends throughout our lifetimes, it is the method of self-direction and exploration.

Optimal wellness affects every walk of life, health is a dynamic process because it is always changing or being altered from its' natural state. As we change our social choices and lifestyle habits, our overall perception, personal development and health levels change or improve themselves. If you are more active and socially aware of your eating, sleeping and exercise habits; this can prevent you from having certain health conditions and diseases later in life.

Optimal wellness increases adaptability,  personal awareness, healthy behaviors, engagement and performance levels. Typically, the idea of wellness is separated into 4 specific areas: emotional, mental, physical and spiritual; having great health is a goal and treasure that each person should strive to accomplish.

3 Levels of Health

Level 1 is considered as abnormal life and social choices, poor nutrition and exercise regimens, unhealthy eating, sleeping and performance problems.

Level 2 is the mediocre lifestyle and social living, minimal work and personal performance, basic/moderate sleeping and eating habits, progressive declining and high risk for disease and heart conditions.

Level 3 represents a high quality of life, performance and decision-making, effective communication and organizational skills, consistent exercise and sleeping schedules with low risk of disease and heart or mental conditions.

The overall purpose of optimal wellness is designed to study, assess and improve a person's mental health, social decisions, nutrition and exercise choices; there are different levels of health and wellness that exists in this world.

“Self-esteem is as important to our well-being as legs are to a table. It is essential for physical wellness,  mental health and optimal happiness.” –  Louise Hart
