MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
Mental health awareness is the act or choice of shedding light onto different realities affecting people's mental health status, by teaching the factors associated with wellness and productivity. It is important to take into consideration the current mental health state of each person you meet or connect with. It is easy to raise awareness about mental health such as, first by solely gaining knowledge and insight pertaining to mental health research.
Incorporate diverse backgrounds into your professional and personal social choices to promote multiculturalism. 1 in 4 people are affected daily by or with mental health problems, such as anxiety, depression and loss of concentration. Your mental health is affects every part and aspect of your total existence. There are other factors that affect one's mental health status to such as: diet, lifestyle choices, genetic history, past medical history, or current physical health state; just to name a few.
Any mentally ill person needs to be treated and assessed in the same way as we would treat a physically ill person. Unhealthy eating habits can result in poor mental health as well. Mentally healthy people tend to have better medical health, developmental levels, and social relationships compared to others. Excellent mental health begins with establishing acceptance and reliance with oneself by freeing yourself from pity, pride and limitations.
Cleansing yourself aids in cognitive development which is important for mental health. Common signs of mental health problems include: unpredictable mood swings, changes in eating or diet choices, increased worry/discomfort or fear, concentration loss, avoiding friends/family or social activities. Depression and mental health disorders in youth and underage minors are growing and rising as each year passes due to certain factors alike school, peer pressure, social media and overall development.
